The person behind Archevot

Hi, I'm Bobby

I'm a BACP-accredited counsellor, and I built Archevot to bring the calm, structured support I use with clients into the moments between sessions, when overwhelm actually hits.

Why I built Archevot

In the counselling room, I kept noticing the same thing. People weren't short on insight or effort. They were stuck at the starting line, frozen by tasks that felt too big, mornings that felt too heavy, and a mind that wouldn't quieten enough to begin. The work we did together helped, but the hardest moments rarely happened in session. They happened on a Tuesday night, alone, staring at a to-do list that wouldn't shrink.

Archevot is my answer to that gap. It takes the gentle, non-judgemental, one-small-step-at-a-time approach I use with clients and puts it in your pocket, so that when everything feels like too much, you have something steady to turn to. Not to replace human support, but to carry a little of its calm into the moments you need it most.

How Archevot is grounded in counselling practice

Everything in Archevot is shaped by what actually helps people regulate and get unstuck, rather than by hustle-culture productivity advice:

  • It meets you where you are. The wellbeing check-in calibrates each task breakdown to your capacity and energy that day, the way a good counsellor adjusts pace to the person in front of them.
  • It lowers the bar to start. Breaking overwhelm into the smallest possible next step is one of the most reliable ways to move a stuck nervous system, and it's built into the core of the app.
  • It's kind, not pushy. The tone throughout is warm and shame-free, because shame is what keeps most people stuck, not a lack of discipline.
  • The personas reflect real approaches. The reflective AI personas are inspired by recognised therapeutic styles, Person-Centred, CBT, IFS and more, so you can choose the kind of support that fits your mood.

An important note on what Archevot is, and isn't

Archevot is a self-help and task-management tool. The AI personas are supportive, reflective companions for thinking things through. They are not therapy, they do not provide diagnosis or treatment, and they are not a substitute for professional mental-health care or crisis support.

If you're struggling, please reach out to your GP or a qualified professional. In the UK, the NHS mental health pages are a good starting point, and if you're in crisis you can call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.
